Lessons fix a swing. Coaching changes a game.
A lesson gives you a fix. Then you're on your own, and the old habit creeps back.
Coaching is different. We set a goal together, measure where you are, build the change over weeks, and test it on the course until it holds under pressure. You always know what you're working on and why. And you can see it working, because the numbers tell you.
How a coaching program works
- 1
Assess
We start with your goal, your game and your numbers. Video, launch monitor and force plate data show me where your strokes really go.
- 2
Build
We work on the two or three changes that matter most, with drills you can practice between sessions. Nothing gets added until the last change sticks.
- 3
Take it to the course
Playing sessions test the change with real lies, real targets and a real score. This is where most programs fall short, and where ours spend real time.
- 4
Own it
Sessions spread out as the change settles. We keep checking your numbers so a small slip never becomes a bad habit.
Five numbers I'd have you track
Before we ever meet, start keeping these five numbers for every round. They tell me more than any swing video.
| # | Number | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Penalty strokes | The fastest strokes most golfers can save. |
| 2 | Three-putts | Usually a distance-control problem, not a stroke problem. |
| 3 | Double bogeys or worse | Where good rounds go to die. |
| 4 | Greens in regulation | How well your long game is really working. |
| 5 | Up-and-downs | How often you save par or bogey from around the green. |
If you use a stat tracker like Arccos, we'll use your data from day one. If not, a pencil and the back of your scorecard work fine.
Is a coaching program right for you?
A program is a good fit if:
- You have a clear goal, like a handicap, a scoring milestone or a tournament
- You're willing to practice between sessions, even a little
- You've taken lessons before and the changes didn't last
- You want someone checking your progress, not just giving tips
If you just want a quick tune-up, a single private lesson might be all you need. We'll figure that out on our call.
What the technology tells me
FlightScope launch monitor. Club path, face angle, launch and spin at impact, so I can see the real cause of your miss.
Smart2Move force plates. How you use the ground. Power and consistency start from your feet.
OnForm video. Your swing in slow motion, side by side with earlier sessions, so you can see the change for yourself.
